In 1935, Kichizo Yoshida, a hands-sewing craftman created Yoshida co., Ltd "Since then the company has stuck to made in Japan and kept the motto, every passion into one stitch." In keeping with the founder of the Yoshida Porter's company principal, all bags are strictly Made in Japan. All production, including design, manufacturing, and retailing are strictly done in Japan. In that way Porter can monitor each aspect of the creation of their bags and ensure the best quality. Heart & Soul in every stitch means all of their bags are handmade by the companys highly skilled craftmen and one product is made by one craftman from the first stitch to the very last stitch. The company only uses the very best fabrics and components, some of which Porter develop and treat specifically for their brands needs. Some of the lines were under development for more than 3 years before their launch, such is Yoshidas devotion to excellence.
